My first month of freedom after I left London, spending some time in my home country Latvia with my family, reminded me of the great power of Synchronicity. The massive role it plays in our lives and how most significant life events are actually a result of flowing with the stream of life rather than our careful planning...
I looked back at significant life events orchestrated by Serendipity for me and loved realising how magical and unexpected each of them was.
Here are a few examples to get you inspired:
One of the core events which led me to opening up to my spiritual connection and later becoming spiritual healer and teacher – was a random meeting.
In 2011 I ran into a girl who I knew briefly when I was out in town one day. She told me she needed volunteers for an event she was organising the next day and I offered to help. It turned out she ran regular Healing Evenings when many various practitioners came together and offered holistic massage, energy healing, psychic readings etc. I knew very little about these practices then.
As a thank you this girl allowed volunteers to have a free 15min session with any practitioner and I picked an energy healer. Those 15 minutes totally changed my life! It was the 1st time I felt Connected to my Soul and the Source. The first time I experienced higher energy and had been given messages from spirit that resonated deeply with me.
I couldn’t stop crying during and after this tiny session. For the first time feeling truly connected with the world and myself. It was like a massive sense of relief, as if a dense veil of illusion lifted…
It is needless to say that I pursued exploring more of spirituality after this experience and it led me to where I am now.
Thanks to experiencing this Holistic Healing Evening, I also realised that I would love to be like one of these practitioners. I loved the atmosphere during the event. It was filled with gentle and supportive vibe and everyone was very sweet, loving and full of encouraging lightness about them. It made me think I’d love to be one of these people. It seemed like very much my kind of thing :) And here I am a few years on - healing, facilitating, mentoring and offering spiritual guidance and loving every second of it! A magical serendipity indeed!
My Current Way of Living and all my experiments in Following my Heart are also a result of a chance meeting which was on a brink of not happening at all
In 2011 was invited to a barbeque party by my then boyfriend at a house of his friends. I wasn’t too keen on coming for some reason but eventually decided to go. I arrived quite late when party was already ‘wrapping up’ but it was enough time for me to have that important meeting which influenced the course of my life.
I happened to chat to a guy and to my surprise he too, like myself, was interested in things of spiritual matter. Till I met him I thought I was kinda crazy :) because very few people I knew at that time shared my interests and way of thinking. I am sure you are familiar with this feeling ;)
This guy also mentioned that he was writing a book about his own journey of spiritual awakening. He shared the story with me briefly and I found it to be pretty fascinating. I told him that I’d be very excited to read his book once it is published.
We became friends and a few months later I received an email from him saying that the final draft of his book was finished. He asked if I could read it and share my feedback. I said yes and after receiving my review notes, my friend asked if I could help him with editing the book.
So for the next 5-6 months we were working on the book together. And as I was going through each chapter in detail – more and more I was feeling inspired by his real-life story where the key message was to Follow The Heart.
I too decided to experiment and take a leap of faith in following My Own Heart for the first time! And sure it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done!
I took a month break off work and went to Glastonbury town in Somerset. I didn’t know it was a power spot, a vortex and an important planetary chakra. I spent there 2 weeks and had the most amazing experiences that opened my eyes to what life can be about – connection, joy, magic and endless opportunities.
I came back feeling very inspired and eager to continue following my Heart and carried on experimenting! This led me to most incredible places and experiences which made me who I am today. I never stopped experimenting! As you know, I am onto my next ‘assignment’ as we speak ;)
The chance meeting I told you about unfolded into something so powerful and was one of the first steps in helping me trust my Heart’s Guidance.
And finally, some of the most life-changing events - my work for the London College of Spirituality, my Rapid Spiritual Growth and Meeting of a very Special Partner are also a result of chance Serendipity.
In 2012 my then flatmate and a good friend begun to volunteer for the London College of Spirituality and every time she got home after an LCS meeting or an event she had some amazing stories to tell. At that time I had a full-time job as project manager and had attended a couple of LCS events which I absolutely loved. LCS represented the new way of life I really wanted to be a part of anchoring in the world.
I was really drawn to join the volunteer team but I had a lot going on at work and in my private life so I decided I’d look into volunteering next year or so. But this wasn’t good enough for the universe lol
One day my flatmate told me they were organising a very special event at LCS and they were missing one volunteer - who had to be a kind and heart-cantered woman. It was a first event in the brand new series of the One Love Tribal Gatherings and they needed an extra Water Goddess for the Water Blessing Ceremony. She said I could be perfect for that role and she could introduce me to the team. Wow! It was hard to say No to an offer like that :) It is not every day you are being offered to play a role of the Water Goddess in a sacred ritual at a beautiful community gathering!
Even though I was pushed for time, I agreed to take part and oh my was it a life-changing evening!
First, I could experience the power of being a part of organising events like this for the people – it was a truly deep, heart-opening and expanding event that left me feeling inspired for the rest of the week. I felt like I’d grown wings! It was truly an honour to be a part of the organising team and I hesitated no more in getting on board.
Within a few months of volunteering, I became a senior manager and left my corporate job joining LCS full-time. I have to say, working full-time at an organisation like this – a true pioneering lighthouse that anchors powerful, high-vibrational energies into the planet through its work and simply by its presence, - will no doubt spin you off into your own rapid spiritual growth. Being in this energy every day made me grow so much – I felt I had experienced 10 years’ worth of personal growth within the first year of working for LCS. That’s A LOT of inner change and expansion!
At this life-changing One Love Tribal Gathering event I also met the Director of LCS who soon became my partner. It was a truly blessed, meant-to-be, loving relationship and a powerful catalyst of inner change for us both. In the 2.5 years we spent together as a couple we brought magnificent changes into each other lives and learnt a lot about spiritual soul connection and soul love. Even though we are not together anymore, we still remain good friends and hold much love, support and admiration for each other in our hearts.
You can see how this one innocent volunteering opportunity opened SO MANY beautiful doors to the truly LIFE-CHANGING experiences I couldn’t have even thought of!
So! The learning here is: RELAX! NOTHING IS UNDER CONTROL :)

- Divine Flow and Timing are ALWAYS in action whether you are spiritually awake or are still sleeping.
- You can’t possibly miss the events you chose for yourself before coming onto this plane.
- All happens in perfect time and in perfect place.
- You have nothing to worry about! Just relax, trust and enjoy the flow of your life, opening your heart more and more to magic every day.
- Look out for things and events that call your attention and take your fancy, go there and explore. It is the subtle voice of your heart!
- And also know, that even at times when you seemingly are doing Nothing, you are still walking your path and that chance life-changing meeting is just around the corner!
