Sub-tropical flower Bird of Paradise
I am always amazed at HOW things we wish for find their way to us! :)
I've always thought this unusual flower was bizarrely beautiful! Since I saw it first time on a company logo in Latvia many years back. Then I got to see this flower growing wild when I travelled in America and Portugal this year and really wished I'd have this flower for me one day :)

And TODAY very unexpectedly I was gifted this strange other-worldly looking beauty! :)
I was at a theatre performance with my mum and a family friend Tanya. They set close to the stage and I was far up on a balcony as I got myself a last minute ticket.
After the performance (which was really amazing!) the actors were given these gorgeous flowers and they took audience by surprise - by throwing the flowers to the audience! I wished I was closer to grab one ;))
And it so happened that our family friend Tanya was lucky to catch one of the flowers. As we went out of the theatre sharing our excitement over the stunning performance we had just seen - Tanya handed the flower over to me saying it was for me! :)
Aww, I was so pleased and surprised! I would have never thought this sub-tropical flower would find me in such a bizarre way in my own home town. I didn't need to travel far to own one of these beauties!
This was a very timely reminder for me that Magic exists EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE we are.
Spending time in my home town, a pretty, small and quiet town away from the hassle and bustle of life, I begun to wonder if much magic and synchronicity could actually occur here?
I was more used to serendipity happening where also a lot happened on a daily basis. For example, London was full of action and activity and it seemed to me this was a more likely place for things to happen, a more likely ground for synchronicities to occurs.
I asked the Universe to show me if magic could also happen in my home town, where not much happens - and here I was given a perfect answer - Oh Yes! It doesn't matter where you are - just be open to the fact that everything is possible :)
I was also very pleased to learn that this flower is called Bird of Paradise. Isn't this the most exotic and inviting name for a flower? I do like the idea of landing my feet on the paradise-like land and being surrounded by tropical flowers very soon :)
