the Baltic Sea in Latvia by Lidija
It is now a month since I left London and embraced the calling of my Heart - leaving ALL I had behind and creating space in my life for new opportunities and places. My home country Latvia being my 1st stop on my travels. I am spending some time here recharging, connecting with my roots and re-calibrating. It has been 10 years since home had me here for longer than a couple of weeks at a time ;) so it is quite an experience indeed to be back. It's a very different world!..
It has been a fabulous journey so far! Sometimes I DO think I am crazy but most of the time I KNOW I am on the right track :) I have to say, when you choose to make transitions of SUCH scale in your life - a LOT of inner change occurs as well.

My departure happened so quickly! Within a space of 1 month I made the decision, sorted everything out, held my last events and left! Only on my way to the airport did I realise that it was just over a month since I got back from a holiday having no idea I would be leaving my life as I knew it in a space of a few weeks…
Everything was going incredibly well for me in London this year - my events were filling up, my healing & mentoring practice was on demand and many new inspirations-ideas grew in my heart. Nevertheless, I was guided OUT of London by my intuitive visions, signs all around me and my Heart's voice.
There was no plan presented to me, no specific destination, just a general direction - Asia. Being an Adventurer I took this as an Amazing opportunity for Growth & Expansion! You will never know what Miracles await you if you don't give it a go and TRUST.
So far, all my experiments of this kind since 2012 took me to the most incredible places and helped me GROW massively! I found myself in magical Hawaii and California last year, for example. And I grew in my spiritual connection & understanding at a lightning speed. The Heart always KNOWS what’s best for us! :)
My first weeks back in Latvia have been filled with many beautiful events.
First, a challenging time of adjusting to the slow-paced living of my home town compared to the fast-speed London living, detoxing from the Have To, Need To and Must Do mindset the big city life often imposes on us. It’s a wonderful Reality Check, I must say! What are truly your own beliefs and which ones you borrowed from the society/environment you live in?
Then I had the most beautiful experience of re-connection with my roots! I left my country when I was 19 and spent the next 10 years living in London and travelling around Europe and America. I have changed massively and didn’t feel at home in Latvia anymore. This was a very confusing and unsettling experience – not feeling at home in your native land. But then came a day that changed it all for me!
This day was a magical hot sunny day of Indian summer in the midst of cool September and I spent it on the beach like I did when I was a teenager. Everything about that day was like a flashback right into my childhood. The sea, the aromas in the air, watching the sunset, the changing colours in the skies. The feelings of connection and happiness were the same – only now I was older. This inner recognition was so calming and heart-warming! I no longer felt a stranger! I was at HOME again :)
After having adjusted to my new reality, I embraced the joys of family time and a quiet, simple small-town living – like going mushroom picking in the forest, walking along the beach for miles and miles, reading books in my native language Russian that I haven’t done in ages (!), going for runs and doing yoga, watching sunsets and, most importantly, allowing my mind, body and soul to REST! I am sure there are many insights, visions & guidance I was missing while speeding through life in London. Now I have made time to HEAR and absorb.
It is wonderful to take a break and just breathe! Watch the wonders of life all around.
It was quite an experience to go mushroom picking with my dad! The forest was sooo ALIVE! So much beauty, magic and raw nature! And I had to admit I knew nothing about how to tell a good mushroom from a poisonous one. I was all ears listening to my dad excited like a child, learning this very basic to life skill and re-connecting with Mother Nature! I definitely want to learn more about herbs, plants and ways of nature. There is so much we disconnect from when living in big cities…
I was very happy to find an enormous variety of autumn flowers at the local market. There is a very basic selection of flowers available at the stores in England, and here I could celebrate the endless variety of shapes, colours and sizes of seasonal, local flowers. I LOVE flowers and this abundance is an ultimate delight for my soul!

I was also very pleased to notice that fruit and veg at home appear in stores according to season. In England we have most products available throughout the year and it is easy to lose track of what is actually in season, what is local and fresh, what nature’s cycle are we in? Here I was pleased to see yummy foods ‘rolling in’ week by week, looking ripe, fresh and delicious. So wonderful to be in touch again with the natural cycles of the Earth :) and be able to eat food that comes right from the land. Imperfect in it’s shape and look sometimes, but so REAL.
Change always comes with many blessings! Embrace them and enjoy them! Sweet gifts of abundance are all around us :)
