Shasta before sunset
I couldn't resist but write this small note for you all! I was in a local park taking some close up pics of Shasta in the evening light (the Headwaters park doesnt have the view because of the dense and tall forest). And in this park people hang out playing sports and having barbecues.
It being dinner time and me passing by the barbecue grills I was thinking about how yummy their burgers must be. I've been vegetarian for almost a year now, and sometimes a memory of a good old meat burger crosses my mind.

And as I was thinking this, the sweetest lady pulled up in a car and asked if I was by any chance hungry? (!!) She said she was given 2 burgers and she was looking to give her 2nd burger away (!!)
How funny is that? She than said my look gave away I was most likely a vegetarian and we had a good laugh about vegetarian burgers before she pulled off.
I was stunned! Instant manifestation! I should be more specific in my thoughts next time ;) Make sure I include word 'vegetarian'. And who knows I might get a free dinner!

Shasta at the sunset - Alpenglow
Here are the 2 pictures I took before my burger adventure in a local park - Shasta before and during the sun set. Shasta turns pink and this phenomena is called Alpenglow.
For the 1st time in 500 years, so locals say, Shasta has lost her snow cap... It's been the hottest summer here and even the locals come out to take pictures as they have never seen the mountain so bear, without the snow. Global warming. Sad reality.
Hopefully Shasta will regain her snow 'coat' in the winter time. It's crazy to think, we can see what's been hidden under the snow for the first time in centuries!
