As I got the wood-stove going, happy fire flames dancing and crackling over the pieces of wood and pinecones from the garden, I set in the armchair admiring the tranquil beauty of the fire and thinking of the power of just one spark.
One spark that has the power to ignite the flame and turn a stack of dry, dead wood into the most spectacular display of dancing light and warmth. Bringing so much comfort and peacefulness to the one in the armchair. Or the families and friends gathered together around the fireplace telling stories of wonder with a glass of wine. Or the native tribes dancing their way of love and passion around the tribal fire, faces painted, bodies moving to the beat of drums...

Only One spark. And so much Power!

During my stay in Mt Shasta, California, I was reminded of the Power of One in many beautiful ways.
I was invited to come along to a dance party. A gathering of friends at a house of one lovely lady who absolutely loves dancing since the first time her mother put an old gramophone on when she was 2 years old. Since then, she has been sharing her love of dance by putting together the most amazing playlists of high-vibrational music and organising regular conscious house parties and leading dance nights at the local community centre.
How is this amazing? Simply by deciding to act on her inner spark of passion and creating regular dance gatherings, she's brought community together, many new friends and caring connections were made, people were encouraged to make time for dance - come out and play music, sing along, express through movement and simply feel alive!

Having been to one of her house parties, I can tell you what an amazing experience this was! We all were first introduced to each other through an opening circle where we shared our names and one thing we were grateful for at that moment. Which was so wonderful - for me as a lone traveller to make new connections, and for us all to be reminded how much there is to be grateful for as we listened to each others' sharings. Out life, starlight sky, friends, loved ones, sunshine and even an excellent car mechanic ;) There was so much to be grateful for!
After that, we all ate the most delicious food made and brought by all guests while chatting and getting to know each other better. So many stories and experiences were shared, inspirational conversations and happy belly laughter.
Then the music started. It was such an amazing selection of songs! All were dancing together. Solo dancers were showing off their style in the centre of the circle, couples swaying with the beats, new made friends fooling around with silly moves - and all joined together in the fun of dancing. Then the drummers joined in with the drum beats bringing the ever more energising vibe to the party. It was so much fun, joy and laughter! Everyone danced till they dropped, taking turns on drums and rattles.
When we danced and sang heartily to the last song of the night, loud cheers and applause filled the room, everyone looking so alive, vibrant and radiating with joy. So much fun! I made new friends, got enormous amount of inspiration and was given CDs with the music played on the night to bring back to London to share with you all.
If it wasn't for this One woman, all of those present at the party would have been at home having a quiet winter evening, perhaps reading a book or dozing off by the fire. I wouldn't have experienced this conscious dinner dance party, nor would I make new friends and feel so alive, buzzing and inspired to bring this experience to London. The brilliant Power of One in action!
Another wonderful example is the Peace Garden on one of the quiet streets of Shasta.

Someone decided to use the large piece of land near their house to create a public garden where locals and travellers can come to enjoy a peaceful moment, rest in the shade of trees, tie a prayer flag or light a candle.
It is a very simple, cozy garden with winding paths, meditation corners, benches to sit on, stone plates with thoughtful reminders about the simplicity and beauty of life, graceful statues of saints and a box with ribbons and pens to create your own 'prayer flag' to put on a tree brunch. As the wind blows, the prayers are carried onto the skies...
The moment you enter this seemingly simple garden, you feel the depth of peace and blissful tranquility of this blessed place. You begin to smile for no reason and slow down your pace savouring every step you make.
People who come here, come with the intention of Peace. And so this garden holds such a powerful vibration of tranquility, unity and All Is Well feeling. And again, thanks to just one One thoughtful person, who decided to put their land to good use, there is now an open garden - welcoming people from all over the world, offering tranquility, comfort and hope, and anchoring powerful vibrations of so much needed Peace into the world. Isn't this amazing?

Volunteers and managers of London College of Spirituality (LCS) connect in meditation and set space before welcoming 1200+ people to the series of free public spiritual events by LCS in June 2013 (More London Festival, Scoop, London Bridge)
Now, 8 years on, the group has grown into the largest spiritual meetup group in the world (!) with over 10,000 members and many sister-groups springing up in other parts of the world. The group became a place of spiritual exploration, learning and growth, a place of community, connection and inspiration. So many lives have been changed to the better, so many new friendships and partnerships were made, so many magnificent events and projects were created for everyone to enjoy, in spirit of a more aware and heart-centred living
This group, London College of Spirituality, has completely transformed my life too, when I joined it 2,5 years ago. I simply wouldn't be the person I am now, if it wasn't for the young man Vaz who chose to take initiative and created his first ever meetup group several years ago. My life has evolved in many magical ways and it all became possible thanks to only one innocent step. Isn't this incredible?
There are so many more other examples of One person making a massive difference in their community, town or the whole planet!
