Today was a beautiful crispy autumn day and I went for a walk - beauty-hunting :) I remembered there was a big park not far from my parent’s house, on the other side of the shipping canal, across the wooden bridge. I was curious to see if the trees have already changed their green summer dresses to the dashing outfits of the autumn. I am in anticipation of the golden, yellow, red and brown carnival! Armed with a phone camera I ventured out into the nearby park.

I am always amazed at HOW things we wish for find their way to us! :)
I've always thought this unusual flower was bizarrely beautiful! Since I saw it first time on a company logo in Latvia many years back. Then I got to see this flower growing wild when I travelled in America and Portugal this year and really wished I'd have this flower for me one day :) The Baltic Sea, Central Beach in Liepaja, Latvia
One day before my Birthday I ventured out for a walk along the beach to spend some me time and think over the past year, filled with magical adventures and personal growth. I took a camera along. Was I surprised to be treated to such natural beauty! Silver in the air and water. Such gorgeousness! No filters or editing applied. Nature is truly amazing in it's pure glory :) Freebies! Everyone loves them :) They are like an unexpected gift and always come as a surprise and lift our spirits even if it is just a tiny little thing. And whatever shape, form or occasion they come in – we can’t help but feel extra blessed, even if just for a moment.
Over my last few weeks in London in August this year, I happened to have a very sweet experience. Within one week I was given a free mango, then a cucumber (lol yes! a cucumber) and then a beautiful rose. All on some very random occasions. An all had most wonderful and uplifting meaning to me! I've been so lucky to get closer to REAL nature while in Latvia. Going mushroom picking in the forest with my dad, having fresh local organic apples (which may look imperfect but are sooo tasty being Real apples), getting a harvest of hazelnuts and enjoying abundance of local seasonal flowers! Simple joys of life we loose touch with when living in big cities.. Overjoyed to experience this golden abundance again! ❤️ A collection of photos from the Baltic Coast of Western Latvia
Sharing some pics of where I've been spending time over the past month! The first leg of my journey after leaving London - the gorgeous Baltic Sea at my hometown Liepaja, Latvia. Very pleased with my choice! Having the sea at my doorstep is a blessing! ♥ My first month of freedom after I left London, spending some time in my home country Latvia with my family, reminded me of the great power of Synchronicity. The massive role it plays in our lives and how most significant life events are actually a result of flowing with the stream of life rather than our careful planning...
The slowing down is not at all easy, I must say. It may seem like a perfect holiday from my previous travel journal posts but I have been finding myself feeling restless and craving action more than often. This is the challenge of Letting Go and fully embracing the change. The mind still wants to build a plan, create purposeful action, know what steps will happen when. ‘How’ is definitely a big word and a desire to control events is massive.
I laughed when I was shown something AMAZING just a few days ago... It is now a month since I left London and embraced the calling of my Heart - leaving ALL I had behind and creating space in my life for new opportunities and places. My home country Latvia being my 1st stop on my travels. I am spending some time here recharging, connecting with my roots and re-calibrating. It has been 10 years since home had me here for longer than a couple of weeks at a time ;) so it is quite an experience indeed to be back. It's a very different world!..
It has been a fabulous journey so far! Sometimes I DO think I am crazy but most of the time I KNOW I am on the right track :) I have to say, when you choose to make transitions of SUCH scale in your life - a LOT of inner change occurs as well. Meet Pinky! My new little friend. She is a stray cat from the street. She is missing half of her left ear, has gorgeous green eyes, soft fur and a sweet, sad way of saying meow. Even though she is of blue-grey colour I call her Pinky. Because she is such a charmer and pink is my favourite colour...
