Wow what a Valentine's day it has been! Being single or recently separated (like myself) can make Valentine's a lonely experience - but not anymore! There is so much Love we can feel and show to ourselves, our friends and strangers, to our beautiful Earth and fall in love with the gift of life itself! It's no longer a day just for the couples - it is a day for the celebration of Love in it's many wonderful forms! :) ...
What do we do if we want to see more kindness in the world? We become that kindness :) It's easy!
These don't have to be grand projects and big scale missions - the Smallest acts of kindness make a Real Difference by anchoring more love and care into the world.
Give up a seat on the tube for someone who needs it more, help a stranger with a heavy bag, say a word of support to your neighbour, stop by an animal shelter and give some love to the animals, or just gift someone with your genuine smile...
As I got the wood-stove going, happy fire flames dancing and crackling over the pieces of wood and pinecones from the garden, I set in the armchair admiring the tranquil beauty of the fire and thinking of the power of just one spark.
One spark that has the power to ignite the flame and turn a stack of dry, dead wood into the most spectacular display of dancing light and warmth. Bringing so much comfort and peacefulness to the one in the armchair. Or the families and friends gathered together around the fireplace telling stories of wonder with a glass of wine. Or the native tribes dancing their way of love and passion around the tribal fire, faces painted, bodies moving to the beat of drums...
December, by far, is the most magical month of the year! We look back, we look forward we allow our minds to wonder off into the land of dreams, as we imagine what we’d like the upcoming year to bring.
There is an unmistakable magic in the air – in the depth of long starry nights, in the shimmer of Christmas decorations, in the stories of elfs, fairies and Santa Claus… This is the time of great anticipation, new hope and new faith in the better.
We also find ourselves wondering Have I done enough this year? Do I have what it takes to make my dreams happen next year? Do I actually know what my dreams are?..
I'm just so amazed about how guided we are by the higher force!
Yesterday, I randomly picked a movie on youtube to watch to help me fall asleep. A very typical Hollywood romantic comedy. I was surprised to realise how the message of the movie was insanely in line with what has been happening for me lately. A great reminder of some things in our life that matter more than work and achievements! Like our family, friends and loved ones...
Today was day of a great realisation!
I have been to see a GP for a pre-travels health check and I have realised that I haven't gone to see a doctor even ONCE since I have changed my corporate office job for what is truly in line with my joys. And since I have engaged actively in meditation and energy work! Isn't this amazing? This 'stuff' really works guys!! A massive change to my health and well-being!..
I once asked my dear friend, a sweet, talented and smart young lady in her mid-twenties, a simple question.
At that time she was considering changing her jobs and was looking into her options – checking out salaries, possible growth opportunities etc, giving reasons for how one job is better over the other.
I asked her: “What would make you truly happy?”...
How often is it – we have had a wonderful weekend, holiday, catch up with our family or friends and then we are back - back to our normal life. Isn’t this what we tend to say ever so often - ”Oh, I just had an amazing time away and now I’m back to normal”. And somehow, the word ‘normal’ always has a hidden sadness to it. Even though we say it with a smile, we don’t mean to smile about it.
How about being able to say – “I’m living a wonderful life!” What would that take?..
